In the Laboratory of Microbiology, research on the genetic variability of Paramecium bursaria is carried out based on molecular methods (ARDRA riboprinting analysis, ITS rDNA fragment sequences, COI and H4 gene sequences). Research is also being conducted on the physiology of symbiotic compounds created by autotrophic and heterotrophic microorganisms (including Paramecium bursaria and Chlorella sp.) and their reactions to various environmental factors.
